I don’t know about you, but I feel like my head is absolutely SPINNNNING after the craziness of this year! On one hand it feels like 2021 has just FLOWN by, but on the other hand it feels like it’s taken forever!

 

After such an eventful year, I’m making it a priority to completely unwind during the Christmas & New Years period & I encourage you to do the same!

 

When you’ve been working hard allll-year-round, the Christmas holidays gives you the perfect opportunity to get away from your work load & fully re-charge.

 

As a business owner (and a woman) do you often find yourself needing to be busy 24/7?

 

Do you ever feel guilty for wanting to take a break out of the fear of being ‘lazy’ or not getting everything done?

 

I’ve been there sooo many times in the past, and I can confidently tell you that it does more harm than good!

 

For example, imagine this:

 

It’s Christmas Eve & you’re sitting in front of your computer sending out emails and checking messages.. You’re feeling overly tired, grumpy & finding yourself working instead of relaxing with your family on a Friday night.

 

You tell yourself it needs to be done, so you push through… and if you’re anything like I used to be, that will sound very familiar!

  • Plan ahead – let your clients know that your business will be closed until a certain date
  • Be kind to yourself – you wouldn’t expect a co-worker to check their work emails on holiday, so why should you?
  • Practice Meditation & Yoga to relax and regain your focus to the present moment
  • Have fun with your loved ones!

 

Taking time off to completely relax improves your capacity to learn & it also boosts your brain power! That’s why some of the BEST ideas usually come on a long walk, in a hot bath or on holiday!

 

As you have just read, there are numerous benefits of fully switching off. I know how hard it can be so I 100% empathise with you, BUT it’s time to put the guilt aside & get in that bubble bath!!
